Every operator starts with the one-time setup fee. After launch, billing depends only on how customer payments are collected.

Pawa collects

5% of collected sales

Used when customer STK payments pass through the Pawa platform gateway.

Own PayBill/Till

KES 1,500 or KES 3,500 / month

Used when customer payments land directly in your shortcode. The invoice is based on month-end customer count.

Example: Pawa collects

If customers buy KES 10,000 of WiFi, Pawa fee is KES 500. The operator balance before payout is KES 9,500.

Example: own PayBill

If month-end customer count is 2,400, Starter applies at KES 1,500. If it is 3,200, Business applies at KES 3,500.

The system picks the right plan automatically.

At month end, Pawa checks your customer count for that month and generates one invoice.
